		Charlton Singleton is a native of Awendaw, South Carolina. He graduated from Wando High School (Mt. Pleasant, SC) in 1989 and went on to Berklee College of Music before transferring to South Carolina State University. In the Fall of 1993, Mr. Singleton received a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance (Trumpet) from SC State. Between 1993 and 2000, Mr. Singleton performed with numerous ensembles and made appearances with such famous personalities as Jerry Butler, Ruby Dee, Roscoe Lee Browne, and Micki Grant. In addition to band directing, Mr. Singleton is always in demand as a performer, speaker, and arranger. He is currently the organist for St. Patrick Catholic Church, Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, and Christ the Divine Teacher Catholic Church (The Citadel). When he is not teaching or performing, he enjoys time with his wife, Mary Jo, and their children, Shalamar (a 6th grade SOA student!) and Marcus.
